I have read the reviews of this cafe. Some of them are not good. And so I went there expecting it may not turn out so good. It was excellent. Excellent service and my eggs bene was the best! I travel around the South Island (and North Island) quite a bit. I ALWAYS have eggs bene for breakfast. Well, what an experience. And a nice twist in terms of their interpretation of an eggs bene. Eggs were perfect. On a yum piece of chiabatta. Hollandaise was freshly made. There were a couple of hash browns, dob of chutney, tomato relish in a small dish, and some melon pieces. All in all EXCELLENT. As well as excellent service. Coffees were so good we had a second one. Sat outside - excellent outside area. Value for money - a very big - YES.

Tony&#39;s Teppan Yaki Restaurant, the main focus is Japanese cuisine. I heard that many ingredients are still airlifted from Hokkaido. It is very good, that is, the price is more expensive. But in general, it is worth the money.

Great food, great service, great wine list - a nice suburban restaurant - no complaints at all. The food was delicious and as stated on the menu - the portion was very generous and neither of us could finish the main meal - go there when really hungry!

Been there 3 times now, this time lucky to spend steak night here, fine cooked food is rare, remember that everything I order here is always beautiful. Definitely recommend now

Evil Genius Bar &amp; Lair, as soon as I entered the store of this restaurant, I smelled the smell of barbecue. Their seasonings are also secret, which is very in line with the public&#39;s preferences.

The food was delicious, but our waiting process was long. We gave up dessert because we didn&#39;t want to wait. If you are with friends and willing to wait more, then this is good. The restaurant owner/manager is very friendly and will want you to introduce mouth-watering food. If you are not in a hurry, you must try it here.

Good casual cafe. Four adults visited on Queen&#39;s Birthday for lunch, plenty of parking &amp; easy access for the disabled. Good selection of cabinet food as well as a menu &amp; tailor your own burgers. The chicken filo was full of chicken with a fresh baby lettuce salad on the side; the beef stroganoff was tender with good flavour; the eggs on savoury toast were cooked exactly as requested; the chicken &amp; peach salad was a good g/f option. Our coffees were faultless as was the service. Toilet facilities were clean. Overall we had a very good experience &amp; will certainly return (ask for their 2nd visit coupon book!)

Just can not understand how a place , any place can be that bad,truly terrible,place looked like nothing i ever seen in a food place ,tacky, tastless.as for food just not eatable.will not recommend it people I hate.

We were taking my father-in-law out for a lovely drive to Sumner on a beautiful sunny day. It was Anzac Day and we were heading back into town after our drive. We stopped into the Del Mar Cafe and I noticed it was in the Entertainment Book. There was no table service and you had to order at the counter, which was fine. So when I placed my order, I asked if I could use my Entertainment voucher and he said no, it was a public holiday. I wasn&#39;t sure of the rules, so I paid my bill and went back to my table. I then read the rules and for ChCh there are only 2 days when you can&#39;t use the Book and that&#39;s Mother&#39;s Day and Valentine&#39;s Day...The meals arrived and my father-in-law ordered the hand-dipped fish, ( for which we paid $18.90 + $4.90 for chips), and the fish was straight out of a box, not fresh, or hand-dipped as described. I&#39;m not going to say anymore....Very disappointed indeed. Would not go again...You make the call...

This restaurant is quite a drive from where I live but for excellent Thai food, it&#39;s well worth the drive. The food is fresh, clean and delicious. Waits are never long. Awesome atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Yum!
